Quick Updates

Im so behind on my blog. So here is a quick update since Emma came home.

We went to the motocross races with Larry and Kyle. They were so fun. Colton loved it. The only bad part was it rained.

Then Colton started soccer. He was pretty excited about the first half but by the end he was just not that into it. He would be out on the soccer field pretending he was a dinosour or doing some ninja moves while his whole team would be at the other end of the field with the ball. Needless to say we will not be signing up for soccer next year. It was fun to watch him though.

Next came Emma April 29th. What a day. We had lots of family and friends come and visit. I didn't get pictures of all of them because I was a little loopy.

This is the morning we left to go to the hospital for the C-Section

Getting ready to go in for surgery

Emma was finally here.

Grandma and Grandpa Hendrickson brough a very excited big brother to see his new little sister. He loves her so much. It is so cute to watch him with her.

Then we had all our family and friends come to see little Emma. What great family and friends we have. :)

Then it was time to go home. That was fun. I got home and was in quite a bit of pain. I ended up going to the urgent care and found out that I had shingles on my stomach. I took some medicine to take care of that just to find out that I still had a horrible pain next to me scare. Come to find out I had nerve damage from all the cutting and surgery. They told me pain medicine could help but probably wouldn't AND that it could take up to 4 months to go away. What a joke. Luckly it only lasted for about 5 weeks. I am finally feeling back to normal.

Thank you to all that came to my rescue those first few weeks after I came home.

Tyler for taking over everything while I recovered from all my strange ailments.

Tylers mom for helping me with food cleaning and laundry.

My mom for coming to stay at my house when Tyler had to go back to work and I sill couldn't walk

Kevin and Leesa for lots of play overs and sleep overs for Colton.

Roger and Kristy for dinner every night for almost 2 weeks and for taking Colton to school for me.

And many other friends and neighbors who came to take Colton to play so he would have something to do.

Thank you Thank you Thank you
I couldn't have done it alone.

Grandpa and Grandma Great even came to see all of us.

Getting to know baby Emma

Emma's Blessing Day

So many family and friends came to support us and for some reason I didn't take any pictures. One of my favorite parts of this day besides the wonderful blessing Tyler gave Emma was seeing my dad get up and share his testimony. I will remember that forever.

The Month Of June

This is Colton reading his scriptures every night. O but now he had renamed himself DAN.

Tara came down with her kids for a visit. Colton and Gracie had such a good time playing together. And we had a great time visiting with Tara. We missed Rich though.

Welcome

Emma Bell Elkington

Well it’s been a while since I updated my blog. I have had a longer recovery than I thought I would and still adjusting to two kids. It’s been a lot of fun though and I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. (Well except maybe the nerve damage in my leg from my surgery Ha Ha) They say it could go away in about 2 to 4 months. Anyway here are some new pictures. I have a lot to post still. We have been having a lot of fun and I am getting behind so hopefully I will get back into the swing of things shortly.

She was named after her great great grandma

Emma Pearl Bell

but she looks just like her daddy did when he was little.

We were all having a hard time trying to figure out who she looked like until I pulled out Tylers hospital baby picture.

They could have been twins.
